Privacy Policy — Productivity Time Tracker

Productivity Time Tracker is a browser productivity tool. This policy explains what data it handles and how.

What data is collected

The extension collects web history: specifically, the domain names of websites the active browser tab visits, along with the time and duration of each visit. This is used solely to calculate the user’s own focus/idle/productivity statistics.

The extension does not collect: personally identifiable information, page content, images, text, form inputs, keystrokes, mouse activity, location data, authentication credentials, financial information, health information, or personal communications.

Where data is stored

All data is stored locally on the user’s device using the browser’s chrome.storage.local API. No data is ever transmitted to, or stored on, any external server. The extension has no backend, no analytics service, and makes no network requests of its own.

How data is used

Collected domain and timing data is used exclusively to display the user’s own productivity statistics within the extension (focus time, idle time, category and website breakdowns, timelines, and reports). It is never shared, sold, or transferred to any third party for any purpose, including advertising or determining creditworthiness.

User control

Users can export, back up, or permanently delete all of their data at any time from the extension’s Settings page. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new effective date.
